For decades, a small weekend property lay directly on the shore of Lake Zeuthen . A simple garden shed, a wild garden, an old jetty – a familiar sight to many neighbors. But the property had become increasingly deserted. The once idyllic scene had fallen into disrepair: a dilapidated shed, overgrown bushes, and unused access to the water.
Zeuthen is one of the most sought-after residential areas in Berlin's commuter belt. Its direct lakeside location is particularly rare and highly valued. Young families and commuters seek space, nature, and good connections to Berlin. This is precisely where immo werk.BERLIN came in: Instead of simply offering the property as a "demolition site by the lake," the team developed a clear design for a modern residential building.
The design called for a light-filled, single-story house with large windows facing the water. Open floor plans, a spacious eat-in kitchen, and flexible rooms for a home office and children's rooms reflect contemporary design trends and are intended to be easily adapted for later life. A large terrace was built on the lake side – ideal for family life and summer evenings with a view of the water.
For the Richter family from Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, this was the fulfillment of their dream. With two children and a desire for more nature, they immediately found their future in Immowerk's design. They could vividly imagine their new home being built here in 2026 – a modern building, perfectly integrated into the Zeuthen landscape.
The purchase agreement was quickly finalized. While the old garden shed will be demolished, the neighborhood is already eagerly anticipating the new building. A vibrant family home with direct lake access will be created from a vacant lot.
